Public school advocate
The Wyoming State Legislature has cut more than $100 million in statewide education funding over the past three years. In Albany County, this results in fewer teachers and staff, fewer resources, and worse education for our children.
Meanwhile, local and national groups are attempting to replace public education with charter and private schools that work well for some children but leave others behind.
We need advocates at every level of government, starting with our local school boards, who will fight to strengthen Wyoming public schools and continue their tradition of success.
